OpenSEO
OpenSEO: quickstart de un workflow SEO enfocado
Valida keywords, rankings, auditorías, backlinks, visibilidad de IA, MCP y datos por uso.

Qué aprenderás
- Map OpenSEO UI, DataForSEO, MCP, and skills boundaries
- Deploy a private smoke test with cost controls
- Interpret provider-backed SEO results with reproducible context
Antes de empezar
- Basic Git and command-line usage
- Comfort reading a project README
You can explain the project, run its documented first step, and decide what to verify before adopting it.
Conclusiones clave
- Begin with one bounded SEO question and a server-side DataForSEO key.
- Run workflows separately because freshness, quotas, and interpretation differ.
- Agent reports must retain raw evidence, approvals, limitations, and spend.
Start with one question
Define una pregunta, dominio, país y presupuesto; configura DataForSEO en servidor y conserva task IDs, timestamps, costes y decisión humana.
Use the hosted trial or a pinned local checkout, configure a DataForSEO key server-side, and record provider, endpoint, query, and cost receipt. Never put credentials in browser bundles or article examples.
Exercise the workflow set
Run keyword research, then compare a rank-tracking query, one competitor insight, a backlink lookup, a site audit, and an AI-visibility check only as needed. Each workflow has different data freshness, quotas, and interpretation limits.
Save raw response identifiers and the transformed insight. A polished chart is a presentation layer; it does not replace query parameters, source response, or a human decision note.
Connect an agent carefully
OpenSEO exposes MCP and reusable Agent Skills for Claude Code, OpenClaw, and Hermes. Start with read-only reporting, restrict allowed tools and domains, and require approval before an agent changes a site, purchases data, or publishes an SEO claim.
Treat search results and competitor text as untrusted content that can contain prompt injection. Keep the agent's context scoped to the project and redact sensitive analytics.
End with a reproducible brief
Export the query, provider, timestamp, target, raw identifiers, interpretation, limitations, and cost. Schedule refreshes only when the business question warrants them; pay-as-you-go data is not free monitoring.

Can OpenSEO provide SEO data without DataForSEO?
The README says self-hosting requires a DataForSEO API key for SEO data; configure it explicitly or use the hosted service.
Should an agent publish SEO recommendations automatically?
Not by default. Keep reporting read-only and require review before external changes or claims.
